Emotional Intelligence Coaching for Self-Awareness & Resilience
Emotional Intelligence Coaching for Understanding Yourself More Clearly
Emotional intelligence coaching is about becoming more aware of what you feel, understanding what those emotions are communicating, and learning how to respond without losing connection with yourself. Through one-on-one Expression Sessions, I work primarily with women who want to develop a more grounded relationship with their emotions, boundaries, communication, and nervous system responses. Instead of labeling certain feelings as good or bad, we can get curious about what is underneath them and how they influence the way you relate, make decisions, and express yourself. The goal is not to control every emotional response, but to understand yourself well enough to have more choice in what happens next.
This work can be especially supportive if you tend to suppress what you feel, become overwhelmed by emotion, absorb other people’s moods, or struggle to stay connected to yourself during conflict. You may be highly perceptive about everyone around you while still having difficulty identifying what you need. Emotional coaching creates space to slow those patterns down and understand how emotion, attachment, communication, and the body are interacting. Over time, greater emotional awareness can support more self-trust, clearer relationships, and a steadier way of moving through challenging moments.
Building a Healthier Relationship With Your Emotional World
Recognizing what you feel before it takes over
Emotions can become much easier to work with when you are able to notice them before they have already reached a breaking point. Emotional intelligence coaching can help you recognize physical cues, recurring triggers, thought patterns, and changes in energy that may signal what is happening underneath the surface. That awareness gives you more opportunity to respond intentionally rather than reacting automatically. You are not trying to eliminate emotion; you are becoming more familiar with how it moves through you.
Separating your emotions from everyone else’s
Many women become highly skilled at tracking the emotional temperature of a room, relationship, family, or workplace. The difficulty comes when another person’s disappointment, anger, anxiety, or needs begin to feel like your responsibility to manage. Coaching can help you notice where empathy turns into over-responsibility and where connection begins to require abandoning yourself. Learning that distinction can make relationships feel clearer without requiring you to become less caring.
Staying connected to yourself during conflict
Emotional intelligence becomes particularly important when tension rises. You may know how you want to communicate until someone becomes upset, disagrees with you, or touches an old relational wound. In those moments, your nervous system may move toward shutting down, appeasing, defending, over-explaining, or escalating before you have consciously chosen a response. Emotional resilience coaching can help you understand those patterns and practice staying more connected to yourself while difficult emotions are present.
Expressing emotions without letting them run the conversation
Being emotionally aware does not mean saying everything you feel the moment you feel it. It means developing enough connection with yourself to understand what an emotion is asking for and decide how you want to respond. Sometimes that may mean expressing something directly, while other times it may mean pausing, setting a boundary, asking for space, or allowing yourself time to understand what is happening. The aim is emotional expression with agency rather than suppression on one extreme or reactivity on the other.
When You Are Emotionally Aware but Still Overwhelmed by What You Feel
You may already consider yourself emotionally intelligent. Perhaps you are reflective, empathetic, capable of talking about feelings, and able to recognize patterns after they happen. But knowing the language of emotions does not necessarily mean you feel steady when those emotions become intense in real life. You might understand why a conflict activated you and still find yourself replaying it for hours, abandoning a boundary, absorbing someone else’s distress, or questioning yourself afterward. There can be a meaningful difference between understanding emotions conceptually and knowing how to stay connected to yourself while you are experiencing them.
This is where emotional intelligence coaching can move beyond insight alone. We can look at what actually happens inside you when disappointment, fear, anger, shame, uncertainty, or attachment gets activated. Instead of asking you to become less emotional, the work is about developing a more trustworthy relationship with your emotional experience and recognizing the patterns surrounding it. As you learn how your body and nervous system respond, you can begin creating more space between what you feel and what you automatically do. Emotional resilience then becomes less about never being affected and more about knowing how to stay with yourself, recover, and respond with greater intention.
Graciela’s Emotional Intelligence Coaching Style
My coaching style is blunt with care and tenderness. I am interested in helping you understand what is actually happening beneath the explanations, coping strategies, and patterns you may already know very well. Our sessions can include intentional conversation, somatic awareness, nervous system support, reflection, movement, breathwork, and exploration of attachment, communication, boundaries, relationships, conflict, and self-regulation. Emotional intelligence is not something I see as separate from the body or the relationships in which your emotions are actually being activated.
I am also not here to tell you which emotions are acceptable or teach you how to appear calm when something is genuinely affecting you. Anger may be showing you a boundary. Sadness may need space rather than fixing. Anxiety may be connected to an old pattern, a current situation, or something your body does not yet feel settled around. We can get curious about those experiences without automatically treating them as problems to suppress or instructions you have to obey.
For many women, emotional awareness has been shaped by years of monitoring other people, maintaining harmony, minimizing anger, or trying not to be perceived as difficult or “too emotional.” That can create a strange dynamic where you are deeply attuned to emotion but still disconnected from your own emotional truth. I may challenge those patterns directly when they appear while still approaching the reasons behind them with care and tenderness. The goal is to help you become more capable of feeling, understanding, and expressing emotion without having to abandon yourself in the process.
Emotional Intelligence Coaching Options
Single Emotional Coaching Sessions
A single session can give you focused space to explore an emotional pattern or situation that feels particularly present right now. You may be navigating conflict, struggling to understand a strong reaction, feeling emotionally drained by a relationship, or noticing that you cannot tell what belongs to you and what you have absorbed from someone else. We can slow the experience down and look at the emotions, body responses, relationship dynamics, and beliefs involved. One session may provide the clarity you need in that moment, or it can help you decide whether you want more ongoing support.
Emotional Coaching Session Bundles
Bundles create more continuity when you want to understand recurring emotional patterns rather than one isolated situation. Emotional awareness and resilience often develop through lived experience: something happens, you notice your response differently, you practice another way of relating to it, and then you bring what you learned back into the next session. Regular coaching gives us room to follow that process over time. This can be especially useful when you are working with patterns involving attachment, people-pleasing, boundaries, emotional overwhelm, conflict, or difficulty trusting your own reactions.
Expression Sessions Coaching Pathways
-
Ignite Your Flame is a six-session coaching journey that shares the same first five sessions as Feed Your Fire, creating a strong foundation for the deeper work ahead. This pathway focuses on tapping into the body, listening more closely to your needs and desires, and becoming more confident in your truth. It is a place to notice how you may have learned to silence yourself, disconnect from your body, or override what you really feel.
This container helps you build self-awareness, reconnect with your authentic voice, and begin practicing more honest expression in a grounded and compassionate way. It is often a powerful fit for people who know they want more than a one-off conversation and are ready for a more intentional process of reconnection. Over the course of the sessions, clients can begin noticing not just what they feel, but how they want to relate to themselves differently. The work is blunt with care and tenderness, creating space for meaningful shifts in confidence, clarity, and self-trust.

(Extension Of Iginite Your Flame)
Feed Your Fire is a ten-session coaching container for deeper integration that begins with the same first five sessions as Ignite Your Flame. From there, the work moves more directly into attachment and how these patterns are applied and lived in everyday life. This pathway creates space to explore communication, relationships, self-led leadership, boundaries, and the ways your deeper patterns show up in real-time choices and connection.
It is designed for people who want to move beyond initial insight and begin living with more consistency, clarity, and integrity. Feed Your Fire supports the ongoing practice of staying connected to yourself and expressing that connection in real life. This longer container allows more room for the kind of repetition, reflection, and real-world application that deeper change often requires. It can be especially supportive for clients who want to strengthen how they show up in relationships, conflict, creativity, and everyday decision-making.

For some clients, self-expression and the singing voice are deeply connected. This combined option is designed for people who want support with both vocal development and the emotional or relational patterns that may be affecting the vocal channel.
These sessions can explore where you may have been silenced, shut down, discouraged, or told no, and how those experiences may still be showing up in your ability to sing, create, and use your voice freely. This is the bridge between the coaching side of the work and Graciela’s vocal mentorship. It can be a meaningful option for singers, creatives, or anyone who senses that the voice is carrying more than technique alone can address. By working with both expression and the vocal channel together, clients can often access a fuller sense of freedom, honesty, and creativity in their voice.
Why Intentional Conversation?
Through a thoughtful, curiosity-driven conversation, we can identify recurring patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and experiences. This process can help you better understand yourself, gain insight into how your mind works, and explore new ways of reframing challenges.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, intentional conversation emphasizes carefully chosen questions designed to spark self-discovery. The focus is not on providing answers, but on helping you uncover your own perspectives, values, and truths through honest reflection.
Why Movement and Breathwork Before Every Session:
This is intentional. Every week you get this hour for you. Life can be hectic and can have so many moving factors. Its time to unwind honey! We find it very helpful to be able to get into the body through movement and to calm the nervous system through breathwork. Letting us arrive into the moment.
Why
Embodiment
Practices:
If you think all the healing is through the mind, think twice! It’s called emBODiment for a reason and it’s a practice. Many times talk therapy is helpful for releasing our thought process but many people leave it feeling like they are still unresolved. That’s because a lot is stored in the body, waiting to be released and just talking about our problems will not heal them. Through these practices we are able to ACTUALLY come home. Not only tapping into the body to better understand it but also emotions or past experiences that no longer serve.
Embodied Confidence: Live louder. Love deeper. Express fully.
Embodied Confidence is a six-session journey designed to help you reconnect with your body, your voice, and your authentic expression. Through guided somatic practices, vocal exploration, and intentional conversation, we begin to uncover the patterns that shape how you move through the world—where you hold tension, where you silence yourself, and where your energy is being drained.
This container supports you in building deeper self-awareness, releasing what has been stored in the body, and practicing honest expression in a safe and supportive space. As you reconnect with yourself, confidence becomes less about performing and more about trusting your voice, your truth, and your presence.
Ignite Your Flame is about coming home to yourself—fully expressed, grounded in your body, and no longer afraid to take up space.

Build a More Trustworthy Relationship With Your Emotions
You do not have to become less emotional in order to feel more grounded. Emotional intelligence coaching can help you understand what you feel, recognize what belongs to you, communicate with greater clarity, and build the resilience to stay connected to yourself when life gets emotionally complicated.
Who Emotional Intelligence Coaching May Be For
Women who feel responsible for everyone else’s emotions
You may notice another person’s discomfort immediately and feel compelled to fix it, soothe it, or change yourself in response. Coaching can help you explore how to remain caring and connected without making someone else’s emotional experience your responsibility.
Women who struggle to identify what they actually feel
Sometimes you know that something is wrong but cannot tell whether you are angry, hurt, afraid, overwhelmed, resentful, or simply exhausted. Emotional coaching can help you slow down and become more familiar with your own emotional signals rather than rushing past them.
Women who become overwhelmed during conflict
You may communicate clearly in ordinary situations but freeze, appease, become defensive, shut down, or over-explain when tension rises. This work can help you understand what conflict activates in your nervous system and how you might remain more connected to yourself when emotions run high.
Women who want greater emotional resilience
You do not need to become unaffected by difficult experiences in order to become more resilient. Emotional resilience coaching can help you build a greater capacity to experience disappointment, uncertainty, conflict, or change while still finding your way back to yourself.
Benefits of Emotional Intelligence Coaching
Emotional intelligence coaching can support greater self-awareness, clearer recognition of emotional patterns, and a stronger understanding of what happens inside you when situations become challenging. You may become better able to distinguish between your emotions and someone else’s, recognize a boundary before resentment builds, or identify what is underneath a reaction that previously felt confusing. With practice, emotions can become information you know how to work with rather than experiences you automatically suppress, judge, or become consumed by. That can create more space for self-trust and intentional choice.
Over time, greater emotional awareness may begin showing up in the way you communicate, handle disagreement, navigate relationships, and recover from difficult moments. You may notice that another person’s disappointment does not automatically cause you to abandon your needs or that you can experience anger without immediately turning it inward. Emotional resilience can also make it easier to remain present through uncertainty without demanding that you solve every feeling immediately. The aim is not emotional perfection, but a steadier and more honest relationship with yourself.
Emotional Intelligence Coaching Pricing and Pathways
Single Emotional Intelligence Coaching Session: $150
You can begin with a single session or choose a bundle if you want continued support around emotional awareness, resilience, boundaries, communication, or recurring relationship patterns. A one-off session can be useful when a particular situation feels emotionally charged or you want help understanding a response that keeps repeating. Bundles provide more room to see how emotional patterns evolve outside of our conversations and to practice new ways of responding as real situations arise. The best starting point depends on the depth and continuity of support you are looking for.
For women who want a more structured coaching experience, Ignite Your Flame and Feed Your Fire offer curated pathways into this work. Ignite Your Flame establishes a foundation around reconnecting with your body, needs, desires, nervous system, and truth, while Feed Your Fire continues into attachment, boundaries, communication, relationships, self-leadership, and applying what you have learned in everyday life. Expression Sessions can also be paired with voice lessons when emotional or relational patterns are affecting creativity or the vocal channel. Each pathway offers a different level of support while remaining rooted in greater self-awareness and authentic expression.
Your Emotional Intelligence Coaching Questions, Answered
-
No. Someone using the term emotional healing coach is not necessarily a licensed therapist, psychologist, counselor, or other mental health professional. Coaching may involve personal reflection, emotional awareness, relationships, embodiment, boundaries, and experiences that clients experience as meaningful or healing, but that does not make it psychotherapy. The distinction is especially important when you are deciding what kind of support you need. Clinical mental health concerns should be addressed with an appropriately qualified professional.
I offer Expression Sessions as coaching, not mental health treatment. We may explore emotional patterns, attachment, nervous system responses, communication, and experiences that have shaped the way you express yourself, but I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Some clients may choose to use coaching alongside therapy or other forms of support. The two can serve different purposes.
-
Not at all. Many women who seek emotional intelligence coaching are already thoughtful, empathetic, reflective, and emotionally aware. What they want is greater ability to apply that awareness when relationships become complicated, boundaries are tested, or strong emotions arise. You may understand emotions extremely well and still notice that you abandon yourself when someone is upset with you. Coaching can help close the gap between what you know and how you respond in real time.
This work can also be valuable if you are entering a new stage of life, strengthening relationships, taking on more leadership, or simply wanting a deeper understanding of yourself. Emotional intelligence affects much more than moments of distress. It can influence communication, intimacy, decision-making, creativity, boundaries, and the way you relate to both yourself and other people. The work is therefore just as much about growth as it is about difficulty. For many women, boundaries also become complicated because another person may be disappointed, upset, or uncomfortable when one is expressed. If you feel responsible for preventing those emotions, it can be easy to abandon your own needs. Emotional wellness coaching can help you explore that pattern without turning boundaries into rigid rules. Ideally, they become an expression of greater self-connection and self-respect.Yes. Boundaries are closely connected to emotional wellness because your emotions and body often begin signaling that something is not working before you consciously admit it. You may notice irritation, exhaustion, dread, tension, resentment, or a strong urge to withdraw while continuing to tell yourself that you should be fine. Coaching can help you recognize those cues earlier and understand what makes them difficult to honor. That awareness can create more room for clear communication.

Yes. A single emotional wellness coaching session is $150, and you do not need to commit to a package in order to begin. A one-off session can be useful when you are dealing with an emotionally difficult relationship, conflict, transition, boundary, or reaction that you want dedicated space to explore. It can also help you experience my coaching style before deciding whether ongoing support feels right for you. You can begin with the amount of support that feels appropriate.
If you want more continuity, bundles and the Ignite Your Flame and Feed Your Fire pathways offer additional room to deepen the work. Ongoing coaching allows us to see how emotional and relational patterns actually show up between sessions rather than discussing them only in theory. You can experiment, notice what changes, and bring those experiences back into our conversations. That real-life integration often becomes an important part of the process.

Emotional intelligence coaching helps you develop greater awareness of your emotions, understand the patterns surrounding them, and respond to emotional experiences with more intention. The work can involve recognizing triggers, understanding nervous system responses, exploring communication and attachment patterns, and noticing how emotions influence your choices and relationships. Rather than trying to suppress strong feelings, coaching helps you build a more informed relationship with them. That can give you more room to choose what you want to do instead of automatically following a familiar reaction.
In my Expression Sessions, emotional intelligence is connected closely with embodiment and self-trust. We may explore not only what you think about an experience, but what happens in your body when it occurs and what that response may reveal about your needs, boundaries, or relational patterns. This makes the work practical rather than purely conceptual. The aim is for emotional awareness to become something you can actually use when life becomes complicated.
-
An emotional intelligence coach helps you become more aware of how emotions influence your behavior, communication, relationships, and decision-making. In my work, this can include intentional conversation, somatic awareness, nervous system support, exploration of attachment and conflict, and looking closely at the patterns that appear when emotions become intense. I may ask questions that help you slow an experience down and recognize what happened before your usual response took over. From there, we can explore what another response might look like while still honoring what you genuinely feel.
My role is not to tell you how you should feel or decide which emotions are reasonable. I am more interested in helping you understand your own emotional experience and become more capable of staying connected to yourself within it. That may sometimes involve direct conversations about patterns that are difficult to see from the inside. The goal is greater awareness, self-trust, and choice rather than emotional control.
-
Emotional resilience coaching can support your ability to stay more connected to yourself when conflict becomes uncomfortable. Many people know how they want to communicate until their nervous system becomes activated, at which point old patterns such as freezing, appeasing, withdrawing, defending, or over-explaining can take over. Coaching gives us space to understand what happens in those moments and what the reaction may be trying to protect. Greater awareness can create more room for intentional communication.
Resilience does not mean never becoming upset or being able to remain perfectly calm through every disagreement. Sometimes a healthy response involves anger, taking space, holding a boundary, or acknowledging that something has genuinely hurt you. The goal is to increase your capacity to experience those emotions without immediately losing connection with yourself. That can support clearer communication and more grounded choices during and after conflict.
